About The Role

As the Service Engineering Specialist for Food Preparation products, you act as the primary technical escalation point for all product, quality, and safety issues across the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) market. You provide expert technical guidance, develop high‑quality documentation, and support the business in resolving complex field issues.

You work closely with regional Business Area (BA) functions—including Quality, Product Line, R&D, and Spare Parts teams—to ensure effective resolution of product issues and successful introduction of new products into the market.

A key focus of the role is delivering data‑driven Fast Field Feedback to identify emerging quality trends, support root‑cause analysis, and drive both factory and field‑based corrective actions. You will ensure that service solutions are practical, cost‑effective, and clearly communicated to the field to minimise warranty costs and improve customer outcomes.

You also support the readiness of new product launches by ensuring technical documentation and spare parts availability and contribute to the development and delivery of technical training where required.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond to technical enquiries from the ANZ service network and internal stakeholders
  • Escalate complex issues to regional BA teams and drive resolution through to completion
  • Analyse field data to identify emerging quality trends and warranty cost drivers
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, R&D, PL, Spare Parts) to develop corrective actions
  • Update service systems, knowledge bases, and technical documentation with validated solutions
  • Support Fast Field Feedback requests with evidence‑based insights
  • Engage with field service teams and workshops to communicate updates, service bulletins, and gather feedback
  • Review spare parts lists and technical documentation to ensure lifecycle support readiness
  • Contribute to the rollout of field repair solutions aimed at improving efficiency and reducing warranty costs
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the ANZ escalation point for all food preparation product technical, quality, and safety issues
  • Provide structured, data‑driven Fast Field Feedback to regional Quality and cross‑functional teams
  • Monitor and report on product quality performance and warranty costs, identifying key trends and risks
  • Collaborate with BA teams to implement sustainable factory and field corrective actions
  • Ensure high‑quality, accurate, and complete technical documentation is available in ANZ systems
  • Ensure spare parts availability and accuracy to support full product lifecycle serviceability
  • Drive warranty cost reduction through development and deployment of efficient repair solutions
  • Coordinate product and part returns to support field quality investigations
  • Proactively identify and resolve spare parts and documentation gaps to prevent recurring issues
  • Communicate effectively with field service teams to share updates, service bulletins, and product insights
Who You Are
  • Technical specialist with experience in Home Appliances, Automotive or other similar manufacturing company
  • Experience in NPI (new product introduction) would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • High attention to detail with disciplined documentation and record‑keeping practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information clearly
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working cross‑functionally and influencing outcomes
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and sound technical judgment
