Job summary

Polkadotfrog Limited is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial or commercial machinery across client sites.

The role involves extensive nationwide and international travel, with training visits to the office and regular client visits to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. A strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic background and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer, servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Willing to stay overnight nationwide and worldwide travel.
• Full UK drivers’ license
• Valid passport

Responsibilities

• Completing installation, maintenance and service work, ensuring customer and company satisfaction
• Performing site acceptance testing to ensure equipment is fully operational
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with service schedules
• Provide ongoing and remote technical support to clients
• Completing detailed service reports including WO, scrap reports, timesheets etc.
• Report any H&S issues and inspect safety equipment

Polkadotfrog are thrilled to be supporting a fantastic company with their search for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer with a background in industrial or commercial machinery.

As the Service Engineer, you’ll provide high-level service support in this role, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery/equipment. This role will involve travel within the UK and abroad, as well as regular visits to clients on a monthly basis.
