Uniting Singleton Facilities in Singleton, NSW is seeking caring staff to support residents in a small aged care home. You will provide companionship, daily living assistance and empathetic care to residents, including help with personal care and mobility. Medication assistance and wound care support may be required.

Positions operate across AM, PM and night shifts, Monday to Sunday, with opportunities for salary packaging and benefits through Uniting. A National Police Check is required.

Formación

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent required or available to achieve.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate, respectful care to residents.

About Uniting Singleton Facilities

Elizabeth Gates is a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents and is nestled in the peaceful rural township of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region.

Alroy House has two separate households, each with between 24 and 25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who We’re Looking For

• Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification. If you’re not qualified and would like to be, we can help you get there.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
