Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced underground Nipper/Truck Driver to deliver critical underground infrastructure and support services at Granny Smith. You’ll install and maintain ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pump systems, while working hands-on in a fast-paced team environment.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and problem-solving, with FIFO from Perth on a rotating roster and opportunities to grow your skills within a leading owner-operator gold producer.

Qualifications

• Underground nipper and truck driver experience required.
• Strong safety focus and compliance mindset.
• Teamwork and clear communication essential.
• Physically fit for challenging environments.
• Current manual Driver’s License.
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.
• Able to obtain National Polick Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining underground ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pump systems.
• Operating EWPs, ITCs, light vehicles and hydraulic machinery to support underground operations.
• Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance while managing risks and minimising downtime.
• Assisting development and production crews to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll deliver critical underground infrastructure and support services that keep the mine running safely and efficiently, through installing and maintaining ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pump systems.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, this is a hands-on and fast-paced role suited to operators that take pride in their work, solve problems and work collaboratively in a team.
