Job summary

Macmahon Underground is seeking experienced Service Crew for the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. You will help install, maintain and repair essential underground services as part of a safety‑focused team.

Role involves underground development, production and backfill services from October 2026, with 7:7 local or 14:14 FIFO rosters; accommodation and flights provided for FIFO personnel. Contribute to a strong crew culture and high operational standards.

Qualifications

• 12 months underground mining experience in a Service Crew role.
• Valid Working at Heights Licence.
• NZ Class 1 driver licence with DG endorsement (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot underground infrastructure, including ventilation, water and air services.
• Complete pre-start inspections, report hazards or defects, and follow site plans, instructions and traffic management procedures.

Service Crew are integral to our underground mining operations and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential underground services. We are seeking safety-focused individuals who are committed to maintaining high operational standards, supporting production activities, and contributing to a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 12 months’ underground mining experience in a Service Crew role.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential) with a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement (desirable).
• Valid Working at Heights Licence (essential).
