Responsibilities include greeting customers, quoting services, scheduling appointments, explaining technical details, processing payments and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role within automotive service.
• Strong knowledge of automotive servicing, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with workshop management systems is preferred.

Grand Prix Narangba is seeking an experienced Service Advisor - Automotive to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based at our Narangba QLD 4504 location. As a Service Advisor, you will be the crucial link between our customers and our service department, ensuring exceptional customer experiences whilst maintaining the highest standards of vehicle servicing and repairs. This role is integral to our business, directly impacting customer satisfaction, retention and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers and conducting thorough consultations to understand their vehicle servicing and repair needs
• Preparing accurate service quotations and cost estimates for customers
• Scheduling vehicle servicing and repair appointments, managing the workshop diary efficiently
• Explaining technical information to customers in a clear, accessible manner
• Processing customer payments and handling invoicing and record-keeping
• Following up with customers regarding service progress and completion
• Liaising between customers and technicians to address any concerns or additional requirements
• Maintaining knowledge of vehicle servicing procedures, spare parts availability and warranty information
• Promoting additional services and products to enhance customer value
• Ensuring all customer interactions are documented accurately in the management system

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of automotive servicing, maintenance and repair procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Proficiency in workshop management systems and computer software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally and diplomatically
• Sales ability with experience in upselling services and products
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
• Preferably, ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent automotive qualifications
• Previous experience in a busy dealership or automotive service centre environment is advantageous
