Job summary

You will contribute to school programs and support student learning and wellbeing. You will implement high-impact teaching strategies, monitor progress using data, and collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, and communicating progress to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and collaboration with families and community.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by leadership.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
