Job summary

Findex is seeking a Workplace Relations Manager (ER and WHS) on an 18-month max-term contract with flexible location in Australia, preferring Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will be the senior technical authority on employee relations, WHS, threat management, and immigration for around 2,500 staff across Australia and New Zealand.

You will lead high-risk ER matters, provide risk-aware legal guidance to senior leaders, drive proactive workforce risk management, oversee WHS and risk governance,

Qualifications

• Substantial senior experience in employee/industrial relations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and WHS.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and manage high-risk matters.
• Experience with Fair Work Commission / NZ Employment Relations Authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-risk ER matters, including investigations, exits and settlements.
• Provide commercial, risk-aware advice on employment law to leaders and executives.
• Move from reactive to proactive ER by analyzing case and engagement data.
• Oversee WHS, psychosocial safety, threat management and risk governance.
• Lead M&A people due diligence and post-deal integration; keep policies current.
• Lead and coach the Workplace Relations team across Australia and New Zealand, and manage external advisers.
