Job summary

Arup, Canberra-based global engineering and consulting firm, seeks a Senior Workplace Infrastructure Engineer to join the Workplace Services team. You will provide APAC coverage for endpoint and virtual desktop platforms, blending hands-on engineering with strategic service improvements.

You will work across Microsoft, Apple, Azure and AWS technologies, deliver secure, reliable workplace technology, and own complex incidents through to resolution in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Autopilot, SCCM, Group Policy and Entra ID.
• Proven support of Windows 11, Linux Ubuntu and macOS devices, including Jamf Pro administration.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Azure Virtual Desktop/Nerdio and complex endpoint, application and user-profile issues.
• PowerShell automation skills, with practical experience of enterprise application deployment, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• A methodical, accountable and collaborative approach, with clear technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Join Arup's global Workplace Services team as a senior Workplace Infrastructure Engineer for complex endpoint and virtual desktop challenges.
• You’ll combine hands-on engineering with the freedom to improve services used across a diverse, international workplace.
• You’ll broaden your expertise across Microsoft, Apple, Azure and AWS technologies, contribute to global projects and help shape the Workplace Services roadmap.
• You’ll provide third-level support, own complex incidents through to resolution and deliver secure, reliable workplace technology across APAC.
• Your work will span Intune, Autopilot, Jamf, Azure Virtual Desktop and legacy SCCM and Group Policy, alongside automation, documentation, patching and technology rollouts.
