Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia seeks a Senior Work Coordinator – Electrical to lead planning and execution of electrical capital projects at Kalamia Mill. You will coordinate process control and electrical activities, guiding engineers, technicians and contractors to deliver safely and on schedule.

You will mentor teams, drive continuous improvement in electrical reliability, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while supporting regional automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or a relevant trade discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability or project coordination in heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of process control, electrical systems and automation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, development and execution of process control and electrical capital projects.
• Provide technical support for SAMA, PID, AFCE diagrams and HAZOP/CHAZOP.
• Support fault finding and problem solving for operations and maintenance.
• Ensure safety, quality and statutory compliance in electrical work.
• Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the region.
• Mentor work coordinators and trade teams for high-quality outcomes.

About The Role

Our Senior Work Coordinator – Electrical plays a key leadership role in supporting the EIC Engineering Superintendent to deliver process control and electrical capital projects at Kalamia Mill. This position is responsible for coordinating the planning, execution and completion of electrical and automation projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard. Working collaboratively with engineers, system technicians, maintenance teams and contractors, the role contributes to continuous improvement in electrical reliability, plant performance and asset management.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, development and execution of process control and electrical capital projects
• Provide technical support in the development of SAMA, PID, and AFCE diagrams, and HAZOP/CHAZOP processes
• Support fault finding and technical problem-solving for operational and maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory standards in all electrical work
• Lead and support continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the region
• Mentor and guide work coordinators and trade teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes

About You

• Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade discipline, or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in maintenance, reliability or project coordination within a heavy industrial environment
• Strong technical competence in process control, electrical systems, and automation
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse work groups and manage multiple projects
• Working knowledge of WHS legislation and industry codes of practice
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and MS Project is desirable
