Job summary

Vestas, the world leader in renewable energy, seeks a Development Manager to identify and secure a portfolio of greenfield wind projects in Australia. You will de-risk, commercialise, and feed projects into the development pipeline using Vestas tools and experience.

You will work closely with government and stakeholders, coordinate permitting, land access, and grid studies to unlock opportunities and drive growth across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Commerce, or similar.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure development.
• Experience dealing with the State Government on major projects.
• Proven experience handling and delivering environmental approvals for major projects.
• Proven experience guiding connection application and grid study processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a pipeline of greenfield wind energy projects.
• De-risk key elements of the projects.
• Work with the State Government to identify market trends and opportunities to expand our portfolio.
• Effectively identifying development and investment opportunities.
• Investigate existing and potential future opportunities for commercialisation of wind energy projects.
• Leveraging the Vestas organisation to propel development goals.
• Coordinate permitting and approvals process.
• Contribute to the land access strategy including negotiating and securing easements and options to lease.
• Guide connection application and connection agreement processes and negotiations.
