Job summary

Halcyon Knights in Adelaide seeks a Senior WHS Advisor to provide expert technical advice and practical support across WHS matters. The role focuses on developing and continuously improving WHS systems, policies and programs while building safety capability and ownership across the organisation.

You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations and audits, report on trends, and support governance forums. Collaboration with leaders, volunteers and external stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and practical application of Work Health and Safety legislation
• Experience providing WHS advice within a complex organisation
• Experience developing WHS management systems and procedures
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert WHS advice and leadership to managers and staff
• Develop, implement and improve WHS policies and programs
• Monitor hazards, incidents and trends and report on WHS performance
• Support WHS committees and governance forums with clear, timely reporting
• Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions
• Contribute to internal WHS audits and external verification activities
• Identify gaps and develop practical corrective action plans
• Provide technical advice on WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice
