Job summary

Quality Builders in Perth is seeking an experienced Welder (1st Class) / Fabricator to join their team. The role focuses on fabrication of structural steel and welding of parts using MIG, with emphasis on safety and compliance. ~38 hours per week with overtime and long-term opportunities.

The candidate should have at least 2 years in structural steel fabrication, and trade qualifications are preferred. A White Card is desirable and a forklift ticket is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years’ experience in fabrication of structural steel (preferred).
• Trade qualification preferred.
• White Card desirable for site safety.
• Forklift ticket advantageous.
• Ability to read and follow shop drawings and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• General fabrication of structural steel.
• Welding of fabricated parts using an MIG welder.
• General use of plasma cutter.
• Operation of cropper / punch and bandsaw plant.
• Read and interpret structural drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
