Job summary

Quality Builders, a well-established Perth-based building company, is seeking a skilled Welder (1st Class) / Fabricator to join our team. The role focuses on heavy structural steel fabrication, welding using MIG, and reading structural drawings to produce high-quality assemblies for commercial and residential projects.

You will work full-time (38 hours) with overtime available; long-term opportunities for the right candidate. A current driver’s license and reliable transport are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Trade qualification in welding is preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• General fabrication of structural steel.
• Welding of fabricated parts using a MIG Welder.
• General use of Plasma cutter.
• Operation of cropper / punch & bandsaw plant.
• Ability to read / interpret structural drawings.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
