Job summary

Domain Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive technical direction, architect scalable systems, and lead development of high-quality web applications using React, TypeScript and Next.js.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product and Design, participate in on-call rotations, and champion best practices for performance, security, and maintainability across the stack.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience building scalable, high-traffic web apps with modern patterns (Micro Frontends, SPA, SSR).
• Experience with GraphQL, cloud-native tech (AWS), containerisation (Docker), and modern CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency designing software within Agile environments.
• Collaborative mindset across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, scalable web solutions using modern engineering practices.
• Optimize performance, including Core Web Vitals, to deliver great customer experiences.
• Address technical debt and influence engineering standards across teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, collaborating with product and design teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability and security improvements.
