Job summary

XPT Software is seeking an experienced front-end engineer to work across React, Next.js, NX and .NET Core APIs in a Melbourne-based role. You will contribute to cloud deployments on Azure and containerized workloads with Kubernetes, collaborating with analysts, designers and engineers to deliver scalable web experiences.

The role emphasizes architecture, estimation, and building reusable components while maintaining high quality code and enabling continuous improvement in delivery processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in large or enterprise organisations.
• Strong hands-on development experience with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with .NET Core APIs.
• Understanding of Azure cloud services and deployment practices.
• Familiarity with AKS and Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience with Sitecore Headless (XM Cloud / Sitecore JSS).
• Exposure to digital experience, eCommerce, or customer-facing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Contribute to solution design, estimation and development activities.
• Build reusable front-end components and shared libraries using NX.
• Integrate with backend APIs and enterprise services in .NET Core.
• Support cloud deployments and operational tasks within Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and share best practices.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA engineers, designers and senior stakeholders.
