Griffith City Council is seeking a dedicated engineer to plan and prepare detailed designs for Water & Wastewater systems, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with codes. The role includes identifying improvements to reduce costs and supervising contracts from design to handover.

The successful candidate will hold tertiary engineering qualifications for IE Australia associate membership and possess advanced knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualifications suitable for acceptance to the Institution of Engineers Australia as an associate member.
• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the engineering design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience and advanced understanding of functions of water and wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare detailed engineering designs for Water & Wastewater systems.
• Identify areas for improvements to optimise operation and maintenance costs.
• Prepare, supervise and monitor contracts from design phase through to final handout.
