Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking an experienced engineer to plan and prepare detailed designs for Water & Wastewater systems. The role requires ensuring designs meet codes and standards while identifying cost-saving improvements.

The successful candidate will supervise contracts from design to handover and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive workplace within Griffith. This is a permanent, full-time position with 35 hours per week and salary in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualifications accepted to Engineers Australia as associate member.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the engineering design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience with operations and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare detailed engineering designs for Water & Wastewater systems reflecting high-quality design.
• Identify improvements to reduce operation and maintenance costs.
• Prepare, supervise and monitor contracts from design phase through handout.
