Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior hydraulic designer to lead stormwater and drainage design across major transport, Defence and energy projects in Perth. You will guide practitioners, review models and mentor staff, ensuring buildable and robust outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, client engagement skills and the ability to contribute to planning through construction support in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of post-graduate experience in stormwater and drainage hydraulics.
• Experience delivering major transport, Defence and energy projects.
• Familiarity with ARR 2019 and WA drainage criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater networks for major projects.
• Oversee hydrologic modelling, interpretation and design integration.
• Review technical calculations, models, drawings and reports.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical governance within the team.
• Support client engagement and Perth market activities.
