Job summary

AECOM seeks an Associate Director, Drainage to lead hydraulic design and technical review of stormwater drainage for major projects, including transport, defence and energy sectors. You will guide teams, mentor engineers and engage with clients to deliver robust, buildable solutions.

You will bring 15+ years of post-graduate experience, a Civil Engineering degree and CPEng or equivalent, with strong capabilities in 12d, Drains, TUFLOW and HEC-RAS. Perth relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate civil engineering experience with drainage focus.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring across a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage for major projects.
• Provide technical leadership in pit and pipe networks and open channels.
• Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and integrate results into design.
• Review technical calculations, models, drawings and specifications.
• Advise on flood risk, drainage strategy and network performance.
• Support planning through detailed design and construction support.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Perth market growth.
