Job summary

AECOM in Rockhampton/Mackay is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans and hydraulic modelling for major infrastructure projects. You will mentor engineers, support project delivery and engage with clients and regulators to ensure compliant outcomes.

You will use 12D, Drains, TUFLOW and related tools, bringing 5+ years of experience and a strong background in urban and regional drainage systems.

Qualifications

Around 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks.
Confident skillset in 12D, Drains, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, MUSIC or similar modelling tools.
Strong technical capability across underground and surface water drainage systems.
Experience delivering major infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.
Proven ability to provide technical leadership, design review and mentoring.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with clients.

Responsibilities

Technical delivery of drainage designs and hydraulic assessments for major infrastructure projects.
Provide input into hydrologic analysis using 12D, TUFLOW and DRAINS.
Develop practical solutions to drainage, flooding and water quality challenges.
Review engineering designs, models and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Mentor project teams and provide quality assurance support.
Engage with clients and regulators to provide technical advice and win work.
Ensure alignment with Australian standards and guidelines.
