Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead drainage and flood modelling efforts, with opportunities to relocate to Townsville or base in Rockhampton/Mackay offices. You will work on complex drainage and hydraulic projects, mentor engineers, and support client engagement across major infrastructure programs.

The role suits professionals with 5–15+ years in drainage/flood modelling who can use Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, and related tools, while aligning designs with Australian standards

Qualifications

Proven drainage/flood modelling experience (5–15+ years).
Experience planning hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater networks.
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Deliver drainage designs, stormwater plans and hydraulic assessments for major infra projects.
Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis using Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, and related tools.
Engage with clients and regulators to provide technical advice and support winning work.
Ensure designs meet Australian standards and project quality requirements.
