Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Water Resource Engineer to deliver surface water assessments, drainage strategies and flood modelling across infrastructure, mining and energy projects in Queensland and nationally.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, develop technical solutions, and mentor junior staff while advancing climate resilience and sustainable water management initiatives. This role requires a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, strong modelling and GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil or environmental engineering.
• Experience in surface water engineering, drainage design, or flood studies.
• Knowledge of relevant modelling tools and GIS platforms.
• Experience with Australian water management standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surface water assessments and drainage design solutions across projects.
• Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and flood studies.
• Support project delivery from planning to detailed design.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client outcomes.
• Assist with proposal development and project planning.
• Contribute to innovation and climate-resilient water management.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
