Job summary

WorkPac Technical and Operations is seeking an experienced Senior Water Engineer based in Adelaide to lead water servicing strategies for major growth programs. You will oversee hydraulic modelling, evaluate developer connections, determine infrastructure triggers, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering.
10+ years in water network planning and hydraulic modelling.
Experience in a water utility environment or engineering consultancy is highly desirable.
Proven leadership, mentoring, or team management experience.
Strong stakeholder communication with a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities

Undertake and supervise water network modelling to support strategic growth programs.
Assess network capacity and infrastructure triggers for major housing and development precincts.
Conduct steady-state and dynamic hydraulic simulations to resolve network constraints.
Evaluate developer connection enquiries and provide defensible technical advice.
Provide technical leadership, peer reviews, and day-to-day supervision for up to 5 engineers.
Contribute to long-term capital investment pipelines and infrastructure staging.
