Job summary
Rio Tinto is seeking a Senior Specialist – Water to lead the water team and deliver programmes across Pilbara Projects. The role collaborates with RTIO Pilbara Projects and Global Procurement to drive strategy, negotiation, and commercial outcomes in a fast-paced capital environment.
Reporting to the Manager BEC & Water, you will develop strategies, manage disputes, and coach procurement specialists while building strong supplier relationships and ensuring value delivery for the business.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering large complex projects in capital environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with construction contracts.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced settings.
- Leadership experience and coaching capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead water portfolio and build high performing team.
- Develop and implement water programme strategies with Pilbara Projects.
- Manage dispute resolution for complex contractual claims.
- Provide value-based contractual guidance and risk mitigation.
- Coach specialists on end-to-end procurement activities.
- Foster long-term supplier relationships.
