Job summary

Narrative Hub is seeking a versatile videographer in South-East Queensland to shoot and edit social-first content for retainer clients and project work. You’ll handle in-studio and on-location shoots, then craft engaging short-form videos with a strong emphasis on social platforms.

You’ll bring a diverse portfolio, keen eye for trends, and the ability to integrate AI tools into editing. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Responsibilities

• Shoot content days for retainer clients, in studio and on location.
• Shoot project work: brand stories, events, commercials, podcasts, ad creative and more.
• Edit short-form content with socials-first styling; assist on projects as needed.
• Shoot stills alongside video.
• Bring trends and formats to the social team and test what lands.
• Plan your own shoots when the job calls for it.
• Contribute to Narrative Hub's internal content engine.

The role

You'll be behind the camera for South-East Queensland businesses and brands that want to show up properly on social, or make waves through strategic campaigns.

Retainers: Our retainer clients see you every quarter, and each visit should feel fresher than the last: new formats, new hooks, whatever's working right now.

Projects: On the project side it's brand stories, events, commercials and ad creative. No matter the job, the shoot is yours to run and the creative standard is yours to set.

Our small but mighty team backs you up with strategy, and the client relationship, so your energy goes into making the content great. And as the team grows, so does the role, with a clear path towards further opportunity.

What you’ll actually be doing

• Shoot content days for our retainer clients, in studio and on location, evolving with every visit.
• Shoot project work: brand stories, events, commercials, podcasts, ad creative and more.
• Edit short-form content, with socials first styling in mind, as well as project work where needed.
• Shoot stills alongside video
• Bring trends and formats to our social team, and test what lands
• Plan your own shoots when the job calls for it
• Contribute to Narrative Hub's internal content engine.

What you’ll bring to the table

• A diverse portfolio, which shows a mix of social first content as well as campaign work.
• Strong camera, lighting and audio skills, in studio or on location
• Efficient short-form editing that works on the platform, not just the timeline
• Photography ability that reflects a commercial standard
• Comfort and/or desire to implement AI tools into your editing workflow
• An open driver's licence and a reliable vehicle

A work vehicle may become available soon, but until then you will need your own means of transport. We compensate travel based on the cents per km method and our Narrative Hub travel policy.
