Nanosonics is seeking a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer to drive V&V activities across the product lifecycle at the Sydney HQ. You will work with Design, Systems, Operations and external test houses to ensure robust, compliant medical devices.

Reporting to the V&V Manager, you will lead test planning, protocol development, data analysis and certification activities, bringing strong domain knowledge in electro-mechanical medical devices and a commitment to quality.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in medical device quality systems (ISO 13485 preferred).
• Proficient in Python and C programming.
• Experience developing automated test solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and planning skills.

Join Nanosonics as a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer and play a key role in ensuring our products meet user, regulatory and business requirements. Working within Research and Product Development, you will plan, coordinate and execute verification and validation activities across the product development lifecycle, helping deliver robust, reliable medical device solutions.

About the role

Reporting to the Verification and Validation Manager, you will provide technical expertise and coordinate assigned testing activities across multidisciplinary programs. You will partner with Design, Systems, Operations and external test providers to maintain traceability, resolve issues and support product certification.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to verification and validation plans and coordinate the timely execution of testing.
• Develop test protocols and reports, align testing to requirements and maintain traceability.
• Evaluate system performance and reliability through system and integration verification testing.
• Lead root cause and failure analysis activities and recommend product or design improvements.
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to test data and support evidence-based design decisions.
• Develop test methodologies and identify opportunities to improve test throughput, repeatability and automation.
• Provide clear progress updates and present test results from multiple disciplines.
• Engage external test houses and coordinate product certification activities.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• A strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and the role of verification and validation.
• Experience working within a quality management system; medical device experience and familiarity with ISO 13485 are highly regarded.
• The ability to understand and diagnose technical issues involving electro-mechanical devices.
• Experience applying statistical analysis techniques to test data.
• Strong planning skills, with the ability to manage priorities and resources across multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Knowledge of Python and C programming.
• Experience developing automated test solutions.
