Job summary

Nanosonics is seeking a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer to drive V&V activities across the product lifecycle at the Sydney HQ. You will work with Design, Systems, Operations and external test houses to ensure robust, compliant medical devices.

Reporting to the V&V Manager, you will lead test planning, protocol development, data analysis and certification activities, bringing strong domain knowledge in electro-mechanical medical devices and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in medical device quality systems (ISO 13485 preferred).
• Proficient in Python and C programming.
• Experience developing automated test solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to verification and validation plans and coordinate timely testing.
• Develop test protocols and reports, align testing to requirements and maintain traceability.
• Evaluate system performance and reliability through verification testing.
• Lead root cause analysis and recommend product or design improvements.
• Apply statistical analysis to test data to support decisions.
• Develop test methodologies to improve throughput and automation.
• Provide progress updates and present results across disciplines.
• Coordinate external test houses and product certification activities.
