Job summary

SMEC is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Urban Infrastructure team on the Sunshine Coast. You will focus on construction phase services including site supervision, project management, contract administration, quality management and coordinating across our client portfolio.

You will bring a background in civil engineering with at least five years’ industry experience, and a strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ industry experience.
• Experience in urban development, roads and municipal projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high technical expertise in engineering and construction methods.
• Oversee site supervision and construction progress.
• Manage contract administration and variations.
• Coordinate across client portfolio and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and support team growth.
• Ensure compliance with Australian codes and standards.
