Job summary

MMG Limited's Dugald River operation is seeking a Superintendent - Mining to lead and coordinate underground production, ensuring safe, efficient operations and alignment with targets. The role covers planning, scheduling, supervision of production teams, and collaboration with the development contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within mining, able to lead/co-ordinate a team of coordinators and supervisors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
• Experience with a broad range of underground mining equipment and systems.
• Experience in large-scale high-turnover sub level open stoping operations with paste fill.
• Queensland First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (Underground Metalliferous) is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient underground mining operations that meet 13-week schedule, budget, and Life of Mine targets.
• Drive continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance across the operational team.
• Oversee workforce planning, training, and development to support current and future needs.
• Manage project planning, task allocation, and team workload to meet short- and long-term objectives.
• Implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives aligned with goals.
• Ensure compliance with budgets, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
