Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking a Senior Underground Mining Engineer to support the Mount Marion restart and ramp-up, guiding the project to steady-state production. Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you will develop mine plans, schedules and technical outputs, working with operations, contractors and corporate teams to ensure practical, safe execution and readiness.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering is required.
• WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency is required or highly regarded.
• Schedule 26 Certificate and Underground Ventilation Officer Certificate are highly regarded.
• Experience in large-scale mechanised long-hole stoping with pastefill is preferred.
• Experience supporting underground ramp-up and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute underground mine plans, schedules and infrastructure plans.
• Deliver short-term planning activities to support operational readiness.
• Provide input across underground design, drill and blast, ventilation and pastefill.
• Collaborate with Underground Superintendent, operations and contractors to ensure practical, safe plans.
• Monitor performance against plan and propose corrective actions.
• Support contractor coordination and compliance from planning perspective.
• Assist with contracting strategies and project ramp-up requirements.
• Develop and implement underground planning systems and reporting tools.
