Job summary

Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Infrastructure, this role is responsible for executing strategic and technical mine planning work in the 2-8 year planning horizon for our Copper SA Underground Mines. The role provides guidance to a range of technical and operational stakeholders with a focus on medium-term mine planning and infrastructure required to support the asset strategy.

This position is based at Adelaide on a 5:2 roster with occasional site travel, flexible work arrangements

Qualifications

• Mining Engineering degree or similar.
• Experience in underground mine planning and operations.
• Experience in mine design software platforms (VentSim, Deswik, MS Office).
• Ability to interpret data and develop validation processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Model mine plans and infrastructure demand over the 5 year plan.
• Justify capital spend and optimise for capital efficiencies.
• Educate and coach personnel across technical and project teams.
• Support integration and optimisation of Copper SA.
• Engage with stakeholders in 5YP/LoA planning with focus on safety, schedule, cost.
• Develop mine infrastructure strategies and mitigate risks.
• Provide technical support for major planning projects across sites.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to support the integrated mine plan.
