Gold Fields is seeking a Senior Mine Controller to oversee real-time coordination, monitoring and optimisation of underground mining activities at Granny Smith mine to ensure safe and productive operations.

Operating from the underground control room on an 8/6 days, 7/7 nights rotating roster, this role provides day-to-day leadership to Mine Controllers while remaining actively engaged in Mine Control duties.

Qualifications

• Significant underground mining experience in a mine control or dispatch environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Pitram, ABB Ability or similar fleet management systems.
• Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring for operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations, safety standards and production lifecycles.
• High-level situational awareness and ability to solve live operation issues quickly.
• Excellent communication across technical, operational and supervisory teams.
• Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and coordinate underground mining activities, equipment and personnel in real time.
• Provide daily operational leadership, training and coaching to Mine Controllers.
• Oversee safety systems and emergency response coordination for underground operations.
• Drive continuous improvements with the Mine Control Supervisor to optimise processes and systems.
