Job summary

Syenta in Sydney, Australia seeks a hands-on mechanical designer to lead the development of a high-load stamp placement module with sub-micron accuracy under load. You will own interfaces with the OEM partner and drive the error budget throughout concept, prototype, and maturation stages, ensuring nanometer-scale stability and thermal/vibration resilience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design and development of mechanical placement or imprint processes in semiconductor tooling.
• Experience with high-load, sub-micron accuracy mechanisms and product lifecycle ownership.
• Knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom compatibility is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own high-precision placement module interfaces and quantify error budgets.
• Develop designs achieving nanometer-scale stability under stamping loads.
• Apply stiffness, flexure, exact constraint, and metrology concepts across the system.
• Perform structural, modal and thermal FEA, tolerance studies and hand calculations.
• Prototype, test and validate design candidates to accelerate learning.
• Create engineering datapacks with drawings (GD&T) and design rationale.
