Job summary

Twitch is seeking a Senior Trust and Safety Operations Analyst in Sydney to help protect communities while enabling engaging experiences. You will assess user reports, mitigate risks, and lead investigations with cross-functional partners in Policy, Legal, and Engineering.

You will work on sensitive content reviews, apply data-driven methods, and leverage SQL and AI-assisted workflows to streamline processes and improve safety outcomes for global Twitch communities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, governance, risk or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, Investigations, or related fields.
• Experience investigating complex safety issues and making risk-based decisions.
• Ability to engage with sensitive or graphic content professionally and access wellness resources.
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, or AI-assisted workflows to identify trends and improve efficiency.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into recommendations.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Experience working with Policy, Legal, and Engineering teams.

About the Role

Twitch is looking for a passionate, high energy addition to our Trust & Safety team. Our Trust & Safety Analysts are at the core of enabling Twitch to be a welcoming and safe place for people to build communities. This role will particularly focus on supporting the vibrant and fantastic communities on Twitch by keeping them safe from online harms. Alongside other Analysts around the world, you’ll be an essential element of Trust & Safety’s efforts to foster a thriving, creative Twitch.

You Will

• Assess and take appropriate action on user reports of Twitch policy violations promptly and effectively
• Prioritize swift action on sensitive community issues, including child safety, terrorism and violent extremism, and off service behaviors
• Review and assess sensitive content, including graphic, violent, or disturbing imagery and video as part of investigations, enforcement actions, and third-party engagements, with access to wellness resources and support
• Review and respond to internal and external escalations
• Participate in shift rotation for some weekends and holidays
• Maintain expert understanding of Twitch’s policies, site features, and internal documentation
• Contribute your insight and skills to the Trust & Safety team to support Twitch’s global community
• Actively identify areas for improvement, using a data-driven approach to understand and mitigate risk
• Leverage AI tooling and programmes such as SQL to build efficiencies and streamline workflows
• Lead projects and broader organizational efforts to improve our operating model, conduct more effective investigations, and understand the evolving risk landscape

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, Investigations, Fraud Prevention, Content Moderation, Escalations and Crisis Management, or a related field
• Experience investigating complex user, content, or platform safety issues and making risk-based decisions in ambiguous situations
• Ability to engage with sensitive or graphic content in a professional capacity, with a commitment to personal wellness and use of available support resources
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, or AI-assisted workflows used to identify trends, investigate risk, and improve operational efficiency
• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies that support proactive risk detection and investigations
• Experience working with cross functional partners, including Policy, Legal, and Engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Twitch as a creator
• Previous employment at a games industry or live streaming platform company
