Transport for NSW invites you to join the modelling team to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused transport planning solutions. In this role you’ll apply analytical frameworks to transform customer behaviour and demand data into robust model inputs, supporting strategic decisions and infrastructure delivery.

You’ll work with stakeholders across business units to test assumptions, improve governance, and adapt methodologies to an evolving network, contributing to NSW’s sustainable

Responsibilities

Deliver modelling direction and assist stakeholders to confidently leverage modelling as a key evidence-based decision-making tool in strategic planning, business case development, and infrastructure delivery.
Develop and provide expert advice on model assumptions, apply analytical frameworks to convert customer behaviour, survey, network, and demand data into model inputs, improve governance and testing standards, collaborate across modelling and business teams, and contribute to technology, planning and forecasting initiatives.
Lead improvements to modelling guidelines and methodologies, assumptions, efficiencies, accuracy and forecasting outcomes in a complex and evolving transport planning environment where stakeholder needs, strategic priorities and emerging technologies continue to shape the future network.
