Job summary

AusNet Services Ltd. seeks a senior electrical engineer to deliver expert engineering and technical support for Transmission network projects. You will develop scopes, review designs, and provide input on constructability, operability, and safety while collaborating with internal teams and external providers.

The role emphasizes design excellence, value engineering, and continuous improvement of standards and practices, with a strong focus on WHS and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in electricity networks engineering and transmission lines in project delivery or design roles.
Strong understanding of regulatory environment within AusNet operates.
Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers.

Responsibilities

Deliver expert engineering and technical support into projects across AusNet’s Transmission network.
Apply engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions on complex design projects.
Develop scopes and specifications for design and construction and review brownfield/greenfield lines and towers.
Drive design excellence through detailed reviews, RFIs, tender processes and quality monitoring.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and safety improvements in design.
