Job summary

UGL is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join the North Sydney Engineering team. Based in our North Sydney office, you will deliver detailed transmission line design work for tenders and active projects, with emphasis on modelling and technical delivery.

You will work across design, constructability and project outcomes, collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers as you build leadership capability and contribute to a stable, long‑term career

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate transmission line experience.
• Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS Tower and PLS Pole.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver transmission line design work including modelling and detailed engineering outputs.
• Develop PLS-CADD models and support PLS Tower and PLS Pole design activities.
• Produce line design reports, stringing charts, plan and profile drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop technical specifications.
• Conduct constructability assessments and ensure engineering standards compliance.
• Liaise with geotechnical engineers and external stakeholders.
