Job summary

Corrective Services NSW at Parklea Correctional Centre in NSW is seeking an Experienced Trades & Operations Leader to oversee Laundry, Cleaning, Horticulture, or Parks & Gardens operations, coaching inmates to gain job-ready skills. You will lead and mentor teams, manage budgets, ensure safety and compliance, and drive continuous improvements while delivering productive, high-quality daily operations.

Qualified tradespeople with Certificate III and a current Driver Licence are invited to apply;

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III level qualification in Laundry Operations, Cleaning Operations, Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or related trades.
• Certificate III Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframe.
• Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as required by role.
• Proven trade experience and ability to meet key accountabilities and focus capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop work teams to achieve organisational objectives.
• Supervise, train and mentor inmates to build practical skills and work readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with CSNSW and CSI policies and probity requirements.
• Manage budgets and resources to maximise productivity and operational outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, compliant workplace for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors.
