Job summary

Corrective Services NSW at Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre seeks an Experienced Trade & Operations Leader to guide laundry operations and related trades, mentoring overseers and coaching inmates to acquire practical, job-ready skills.

You will plan daily operations, drive productivity, and ensure safety, quality and compliance while supporting pathways to meaningful employment after release in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III level qualification: Laundry Operations, or related trades, as well as proven trade experience otherwise must be willing to obtain certificate within timeframe set out by CSNSW
• Certificate III Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframe
• Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as required by role
• Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
• Ability to work across various trades as required by the business

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop work teams to achieve organisational objectives.
• Supervise, train and mentor inmates to build practical skills and work readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with CSNSW and CSI policies and probity requirements.
• Manage budgets and resources to maximise productivity and operational outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, compliant workplace for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors.
