Job summary

Beveridge Williams is seeking an experienced Principal Town Planner for the Western Sydney (Oran Park) office. The role focuses on managing complex planning projects, providing strategic advice, and building strong client relationships to deliver sustainable community outcomes.

The position supports growth of the planning team within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. The ideal candidate brings a Degree in Town Planning, 10+ years of experience, and in-depth knowledge of NSW planning

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning is required.
• 10+ years’ experience in development/consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation, policy frameworks and approvals.
• Experience managing complex planning projects and stakeholder relations.
• Ability to undertake and interpret technical planning assessments and analyses.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance with clients, Councils, consultants, colleagues and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior planners to develop skills and capability.
• Collaborate within a team to provide high-quality planning advice, advocacy and project support.
• Represent clients at hearings, meetings and consultation forums and manage projects to deliver planning outcomes.
• Provide clear direction and advice on planning pathways, approvals, and project progress.
• Manage planning applications from inception to approval; coordinate consultants and subcontractors; deliver outcomes within budgets and timeframes.
