Job summary

Wayfaring in Melbourne is seeking a seasoned QA engineer to drive test automation across UI, API and integration layers. You will design, build and maintain automated test suites, translate requirements into test plans, and review product specs with software engineers.

You bring 5+ years in software engineering or QA, hands-on Playwright experience, solid API testing skills, and comfort in an AWS/CI environment. Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering and/or QA.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or a similar tool, including building a test framework.
• Solid API test automation experience with REST/HTTP concepts.
• Comfortable working in an AWS/CI environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements and user stories into test plans and test cases across the full SDLC.
• Collaborate with software engineers to evaluate code testability and review specs.
• Design, build and maintain automated test suites covering UI, API and integration testing.
• Continuously improve and extend existing test automation frameworks.
• Investigate test failures, document defects and track to resolution.
