Job summary

Infosys Melbourne is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Web and API testing frameworks using Playwright. The role requires building robust automated suites and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test acceptance criteria and improve software quality.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with service virtualization, API testing methodologies, and modern test frameworks,

Qualifications

Experience with Playwright and web/API automation.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration in testing pipelines.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and test management tools (Xray).
Ability to review requirements, design test strategies and ensure quality across software delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable automation frameworks for Web and API applications using Playwright.
Create and execute robust automated test suites covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements, contribute to solution design discussions, and define testability and acceptance criteria.
Develop API automation solutions and validate service interactions to ensure system reliability and quality.
Implement service virtualization and mocks to support testing in complex environments.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote continuous testing practices.
Analyze test outcomes, identify defects, risks, and quality concerns, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Drive quality engineering best practices and shift-left testing across the SDLC.
