Avocado Consulting is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Melbourne to design and implement a robust UI and API automation framework using Selenium and Playwright. You will automate RBAC login scenarios, demo progress to stakeholders, and deliver comprehensive framework documentation.

The role involves test execution, defect management, and documenting business rules where needed, under the guidance of the Principal Test Engineer.

Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI/API automation.
• Strong hands-on test automation capabilities.
• Ability to design and implement an automation framework.
• Experience documenting test frameworks and traceability mappings.
• Familiarity with defect management and testing lifecycle.
• Investment banking sector experience is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assess requirements and design a robust UI/API automation framework.
• Automate initial user access scenarios (RBAC login and permissions).
• Demo sessions with stakeholders after base framework completion.
• Deliver documentation covering framework structure and traceability mappings.
• Execute tests and manage defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Document business rules where documentation is limited.
• Work under guidance of the Principal Test Engineer.
