Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Senior Technology Leader to own the technology agenda, align IT with business strategy, and collaborate with senior executives on initiatives that drive measurable impact across the organisation.

You will lead IT Operations, Applications, Infrastructure and major projects, shape a forward-looking IT strategy, manage budgets and third-party relationships, and report on risk, security and performance to the executive team.

Senior Technology Leader

The Opportunity

You will lead the organisation's IT Operations, Applications Support and IT Projects functions, with responsibility for providing strategic direction and ensuring the day-to-day technology environment is secure, resilient and fit for purpose. Develop and lead the organisation's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives and future technology opportunities. Provide strategic leadership across IT operations, applications, infrastructure and technology projects. Identify opportunities to modernise systems, introduce new technologies and improve existing platforms and processes. Lead the delivery of technology projects initiated by the business, ensuring they deliver measurable business outcomes. Provide trusted technology advice to the Executive Team and contribute to broader business planning and decision-making. Maintain strong oversight of technology risk, security, compliance and data integrity. Ensure technology environments and processes meet relevant national and international standards. Manage technology budgets, expenditure and third-party relationships. Provide regular reporting and insight to senior leadership on the performance, capability, risks and future requirements of the technology environment.

About You

We are looking for an established technology leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational execution.

• You will bring experience from a financial services, banking, lending, finance, fintech or similarly highly regulated environment.
• Significant senior-level IT leadership experience.
• A track record of developing and executing technology strategy.
• Experience leading technology operations, applications and major IT projects.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including technology budget management.
• Experience managing technology risk, information security and compliance.
• The ability to engage confidently with Managing Directors, Executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong experience leading, developing and motivating technology teams.
• A genuine interest in emerging technology and identifying opportunities for innovation.
• Strong vendor, partner and third-party management capabilities.
• The ability to balance strategic transformation with operational stability.
