Job summary

Salt is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to join a well-known Australian company with a global presence. This hybrid Sydney role focuses on defining, delivering, and governing IT solutions within a large transformation program.

You will lead design discussions, shape the enterprise architecture roadmap, and provide technical leadership to internal teams and external vendors. Experience in General Insurance is valued, with Azure/AWS cloud expertise and strong documentation skills.

• Extensive experience in architecting modern and legacy solutions across technology domains (application, integration, cloud, data, infrastructure, security).
• End-to-end architecture skillset with breadth across domains.
• Excellent design documentation skills.
• Strong ability to influence decisions with internal and external stakeholders.

• Defining, developing, and delivering IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture strategy.

What you’ll bring?

• Prior experience working in the General Insurance industry. You understand how brokers work, as well as insurance processes related to Policy, Claims and Pricing. Experience working in the financial services industry will also be considered
• Extensive experience in architecting modern and legacy solutions across technology domains including; application, integration, cloud, data, infrastructure and security. ie – you possess an ‘end-to-end’ architecture skillset and have a breadth of architecture experience
• Excellent design documentation skills
• Strong ability to influence decisions and negotiate solutions with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience working in a large-scale organisation
• Experience working in a highly-regulated environment
• Experience working in a change environment
• A strong understanding of risk management and risk management frameworks
• Excellent prioritisation skills with the proven ability to achieve deadlines
• Experience building solutions based on Azure / AWS
