Job summary

NetComm Wireless is seeking a proactive Technical Lead to own the design and development of new broadband products from concept through production in Sydney or Melbourne. You will set technical direction and make timely design decisions as product scales.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in telecom hardware or connected-device development, a relevant bachelor’s degree, strong diagnostic skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product development within telecommunications, hardware or connected-device development.
• Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, computer science or related field.
• Strong technical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Developing leadership and organisational abilities; willingness to take responsibility for outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop your product from concept to production.
• Capture product requirements with Product Management, Engineering and external teams and ensure compliance throughout development.
• Lead product architecture decisions balancing cost, performance and complexity.
• Plan and manage timelines with Project Management and coordinate dependencies.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and stay current with industry trends and developments.
• Collaborate with other Engineering teams to identify and clear technical roadblocks.
• Be transparent about challenges, failures and successes with the team.
