Job summary

NetComm Wireless is seeking a Senior Product Compliance Engineer to ensure our products meet regulatory and carrier certifications before mass production and throughout the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external labs to test against applicable standards, manage certification documentation, and support deployment in target markets worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in electronics products compliance testing.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in EMC, Safety, Wireless & RF.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for electronics products.
  • Solid understanding of FCC, ACMA, CE, GCF, RoHS and WEEE regional compliance.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product compliance activities across multiple product portfolios.
  • Define, review and scrutinize requirements for regulatory and carrier certification.
  • Research compliance requirements for new markets, technology or trade compliance.
  • Plan, schedule and negotiate requirements, lead times and costs with external test vendors.
  • Prepare documentation required for certification and compliance labs.
  • Conduct hands-on hardware/software testing and debug of issues.
  • Report progress on compliance and certification tasks to Project teams.
  • Manage costs and maintain relationships with testing vendors.
  • Review and verify external lab reports to ensure task completion.
  • Monitor regulatory and product changes to maintain lifecycle compliance.

Job description

As our Senior Product Compliance Engineer, you will ensure that our products obtain all required regulatory compliance and/or carrier certifications before the release to mass production and for the life of the product in case of any changes to regulatory requirement or target market.

What You’ll Do

As Senior Product Compliance Engineer, you will work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external certified labs to ensure products are fully tested to all applicable standards and are fully compliant for deployment in the target market.

  • Undertake all compliance activities in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with testing vendors
  • Ensure cost competitiveness through multiple vendors.
  • Review, verify, document external lab reports to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Monitor regulatory and product changes, maintain compliance throughout product lifecycle.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience in Electronics products compliance testing.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Safety, Wireless & Radio Frequency (RF).
  • Strong knowledge in industry standards, regulatory requirements for electronics products.
  • Solid understanding in Regional Compliance requirements for Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), CE, Global Certification Forum (GCF), Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the commitment to follow tasks through to successful completion.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset to focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence at scale.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex regulatory and technical requirements to different stakeholders.
