Job summary

The Chandler Macleod Group is seeking a Senior Data Technician for a Federal Government agency in Australia. You will provide technical leadership across workforce modelling, forecasting and analytics, turning complex workforce information into practical, reliable tools to support decision-making.

You will mentor the team, develop standards and processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that improve workforce planning and reform.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in data, analytics, workforce modelling, forecasting or a similar field.
  • Advanced technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining analytical or modelling solutions.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to turn complex problems into practical solutions.
  • Experience working with Microsoft tools and enterprise technology.
  • Experience with technical documentation, testing, quality assurance and governance.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting other team members.
  • The ability to work effectively in a changing environment and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.

About the Role
