Job summary

IGT Sydney Game Studio is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to lead art implementation and production quality for land-based slot games. You will balance internal artistry with external partners, optimise assets in Unity, and guide a small multidisciplinary team.

You will define asset scopes, create briefs, and ensure delivery with performance budgets. The role combines hands-on art with production leadership in a collaborative, hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Excellent illustration skills with AI-assisted workflow awareness.
• Experience scoping artwork, briefs and external vendors.
• Hands-on Unity implementation of 2D art, animation and effects.
• Understanding asset pipelines and performance trade-offs.
• Collaborative, proactive and low-ego team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Partner with designers and engineers to set visual direction for each game.
• Create concept art, style frames, and rapid prototypes with approved AI workflows.
• Define asset lists, priorities, and delivery milestones with risks.
• Write briefs for external partners with specs and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate art assets into Unity and optimise for performance.
• Manage external providers and feedback to meet standards.
• Maintain asset hygiene and version-control practices.
